We're excited to announce significant improvements to PheedLoop's promotion system that give event organizers both enhanced control and clearer visibility into applied promotions. These updates transform how you can structure and manage promotional offers for your events.
What's New: Advanced Promotion Controls
Enhanced Application Limits
We've replaced the ‘Single Application Only’ setting with ‘Maximum Applications’ feature. Now you can specify exactly how many times a promotion applies to each eligible ticket type within a single registration.
Real-world example: Offer 25% off the first 3 conference tickets purchased. When attendees buy 4 tickets, only the first 3 receive the discount. This limit is perfect for encouraging bulk purchases while maintaining revenue control.
Smart Purchase Requirements
New ‘Purchase Minimum’ and ticket threshold controls let you create sophisticated promotional strategies:
- Purchase Minimum: Set spending requirements based on the amount spent at checkout. For example, you can have a promotion where registrants can get $15 off if they spend $200.
- Minimum Tickets Threshold: Activate promotions only when attendees reach specific quantities for eligible tickets. No promotions are applied if the tickets checked out is fewer than this figure.
- Maximum Tickets Threshold: Limit promotions to specific quantities for ticket purchases. If the order contains more than the figure entered in this field, then the promotion will not apply.
Looking for more control? Use the 'Connected Tickets' feature to restrict this promotion to specific tickets. The promotion will only apply at checkout if one or more of the connected tickets are in the registrant’s cart. If not, the promotion won’t be applied.
Improved Financial Tracking
We’ve enhanced the Finance Summary by introducing a dedicated ‘Discount’ column under the Tickets section. This new addition allows event organizers to see the exact value of discounts applied to each ticket. Not only does this improve transparency when reviewing orders, but it also brings PheedLoop’s reporting tools in line with the standards of advanced financial platforms.
Tracking Promotions with Custom Reporting
Find out where your promotions are applied with Custom Reporting. The ‘Promotion Codes’ field in the Registration Report. This field allows you to see exactly which promotion codes were applied to which tickets, giving you a clear view of usage patterns across your event.
Why These Changes Matter
These updates are essential for giving Event Administrators deeper visibility into promotion usage. With improved display logic, you can now see exactly which promotions have been applied across your event, making it easier than ever to monitor their impact in real time. This not only enhances transparency but also supports better decision-making throughout the event planning process.
Custom Reporting capabilities have also been upgraded. By leveraging the new ‘Promotion Codes’ field in the Registration Report, you can accurately track which promotions were applied to specific tickets and registrants. This provides a clear, data-driven view of promotion performance—perfect for post-event analysis and ROI evaluation.
For more advanced use cases, administrators can now build complex promotion hierarchies. Whether you're offering tiered discounts, time-sensitive deals, or incentives tied to specific ticket types, the system now supports these scenarios with greater flexibility and control. Despite the increased sophistication, the setup process remains user-friendly and efficient.
In addition to expanded functionality, these improvements help prevent misuse or accidental application of promotions. By allowing you to define exactly which tickets a promotion can apply to, you can ensure promotions are used as intended while still meeting complex incentive structures.
